A two-story structure fell in Lagos State’s Isale Eko neighborhood, causing fear and alarm among residents.

According to reports, several individuals are stuck within the allegedly damaged construction.

The building’s stability is claimed to have been jeopardized as a result of a fire in portions of Dosunmu Market on Lagos Island.

The Lagos Territorial Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Mr Ibrahim Farinloye who confirmed the incident, said the fire seriously impacted 14 other buildings.

In April, four buildings collapsed due to the intensity of the fire that engulfed part of Dosunmu Market on Lagos Island.

He said emergency responders at the scene of the event included NEMA, Federal and State Fire Services, the Nigeria Police, and fire service of the Nigeria Ports Authority.
