The All Progressives Congress (APC) state working committee in Kano has taken serious action against several ward party leaders who suspended the party’s national chairman, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje.
The APC Ganduje ward in Dawakin Tofa Local Government was alleged to have suspended Ganduje, but the party’s local government leaders quickly reversed the suspension and fired those responsible.
Inusa Dawanau, Chairman of the APC Dawakin Tofa Local Government, informed journalists that people responsible for the National Chairman’s suspension were captured engaging in anti-party actions, and their records of meetings with the opposition were exposed.
Following the suspension of the APC Ward APC leaders, the Party’s state working committee stated that the culprits have been sanctioned for six months, and a special investigative panel has been formed to investigate many claims against them.
Abdullahi Abbas, the Party’s Kano Chairman, stated that the LG Party Leaders’ decisions had been approved.
“We have evidence of meetings between the state government officials and those that suspended the National Chairman. The state working committee has agreed to sanction them for six months and they stand now suspended.”
