Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki, has stated that his desire is to leave a stronger judiciary in Edo State by making it the number one in the country.

Obaseki stated this while appreciating members of the body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN), who visited him in his office.

He disclosed this on his X handle on Tuesday, March 5.

He wrote: “From the onset, we have prioritized reformative investment in the State’s Judiciary to guarantee its autonomy and efficiency, and collaborated to sustain the peace, security, and stability witnessed in Edo.

“In seven and a half years, across the State, we have built official accommodations for judges; trained over 100 court reporters; revamped the Magistracy by building magistrate courts, which will soon be commissioned, and deployed technology connecting our courts with fibre-optic high-speed internet.

“I am deeply grateful to members of the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN) led by Ighodalo Imadengbelo for their visit and assure them of my continued support in promoting them as the bastion of our democracy.”
