AFCON 2023 | Top Scorers ahead of Round of 16 Fixtures | METROWATCH

Ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, Round of 16 fixtures, here are the top scorers in the competition so far.

Equatorial Guinea’s Emilio Nsue is currently the top scorer in the 2023 AFCON with five goals.

Nsue is ahead of Algeria’s Baghdad Bounedjah, who has three goals to his name.

Egypt’s Mostafa Mohamed also has three goals.

Recall that the AFCON Group stage matches were concluded on Wednesday night.

Angola, Namibia, Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea, Egypt, Congo DR, Cape Verde, Mauritania, Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, Mali, Burkina Faso, Morocco and South Africa all booked their places in the last-16.

AFCON top scorers so far:

Five goals – Equatorial Guinea’s Emilio Nsue.

Three goals – Algeria’s Baghdad Bounedjah, Egypt’s Mostafa Mohamed

Two goals – Ghana’s Jordan Ayew, Burkina Faso’s Bertrand Traoré, Senegal’s Lamine Camara, Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus, Angola’s Mabululu Paciência, Mali’s Lassine Sinayoko, South Africa’s Themba Zwane and Angola’s Gelson Dala.

One goal – Egypt’s Trézéguet, Senegal’s Ismaïla Sarr, Senegal’s Sadio Mane, Senegal’s Iliman Ndiaye.
