President Bola Tinubu has approved the payment of N12 billion to clear outstanding payments for the Super Eagles and other national teams in various sports.

This may be seen in a statement posted on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Media Center’s X account.

The announcement states that the payment would cover the senior national team coach’s salary, which might last up to 15 months, as well as any unfulfilled pledges and allowances owed to the female and Under-20 national teams and senior national teams.

The statement reads, “President @officialABAT has approved the payment of the N12 billion outstanding backlog for Nigeria’s national teams of various sports, which includes the Super Eagles and others.
