PHOTOS | NEMA Distributes Relief Materials to Adamawa Flood Victims | METROWATCH

The National Emergency Management Agency has distributed relief materials to victims of flooding in Adamawa communities.

NEMA made this known on its X page on Wednesday while sharing photos of the exercise.

The photos were captioned, “Officials of NEMA Yola Operations office flagged off the distribution of relief materials to victims of 2023 floods disaster in Yola North, Yola South, and Girei federal constituency of Adamawa State.

“The Head of NEMA Yola Operations operations office represented at the Flagg off by Yusuf Ibbi (PSARO) at Bye Pass Primary School in Yola North said the gesture was part of the federal government’s commitment in providing succour to the affected people.

“He further said the items are meant to cushion the effect of their suffering and not compensation for what they have lost.

“The Hon member representing the constituency Hon Abubakar Baba Zango, represented by Usman Mohammed (Legislative assistant), appreciated NEMA for the kind gesture and called on the beneficiaries to utilise the items given to them. The distribution was witnessed by relevant stakeholders.”
