PHOTOS | COAS Unveils Projects in Plateau, Says No Hiding Place for Criminals | METROWATCH

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, on Tuesday, unveiled multiple community projects in Plateau State, saying that there is no hiding place for criminals in the state.

According to Lagbaja, the multiple Civil-Military Relations projects executed by the Nigerian Army were for the retuning residents of communities displaced by crisis In the Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

This was disclosed in photos shared on the Facebook page of the Nigerian Army on Tuesday, November 28.

Some of the projects include renovating the healthcare facilities, schools, provision of medical equipment as well as manual and solar powered boreholes to provide portable source of water for the communities.

The post read, “Represented by the General Officer Commanding 3 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH), Major General AE Abubakar, the Army Chief also recounted the successes recorded so far by troops of Operation HAKORIN DAMISA IV and urged members of the public to join hands with security agencies in fighting criminalities in the country.

“He thanked the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for the immense support given to the Nigerian Army and appreciated the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa for his leadership and strategic guidance which were instrumental to the success of the NA.

“The community leaders who spoke at the ceremonies, lauded the Nigerian Army for the gesture and promised to make good use of the projects, while ensuring they were protected against damage.

“They heaped praises on troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN and the Nigerian Army for their unmatched efforts in fighting criminalities in Mangu general area and the country at large.

“They further pledged to upscale their support and cooperation to the troops in fighting all forms of criminalities.

“The projects commissioned by the Chief of Army Staff include; the renovated Nomadic Primary School and borehole at Dan Hausa community , newly constructed solar powered borehole at Dungmunaan village, renovated primary healthcare centre with medical equipment and newly built borehole at Kyampus village and the newly constructed solar powered borehole at Gindiri community.

“The event was graced by Traditional rulers, community heads and religious leaders”.
