The Super Eagles team has been selected by head coach Jose Santos Peseiro for the forthcoming international friendlies in Portugal against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.
While Fisayo Dele-Bashiru receives his first-ever invitation, goalkeepers Francis Uzoho, Adebayo Adeleye, and Olorunleke Ojo were kept on the roster along with defenders Kenneth Omeruo and Bright Osayi-Samuel, midfielder Alex Iwobi, and striker Terem Moffi.
On October 13, 2023, in Portimo, Portugal, the Super Eagles will play the Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia before a matchup with the Mozambique Mambas three days later.
The squad is preparing for these games as they compete in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification matches.
