Digital and telecommunications solutions provider, Globacom, at the weekend received two prestigious awards at the Brands and Advertising Awards organized by brand and marketing communication industry giant, Marketing Edge. The awards were in recognition of its excellent contributions to Nigeria’s telecom sector.
The awards, “Outstanding Telecoms Brand of the Year” and the “TV Commercial of the Year”, were presented at an elaborate ceremony held at The Podium Event Centre, Lekki, Lagos. The event also coincided with the 20th anniversary of Marketing Edge.
These outstanding awards were befitting honours for Globacom, which last month clocked 20 years in Nigeria’s digital and telecommunications landscape. The company has recorded remarkable strides in offering the best solutions to its customers at the most affordable rates.
The Chief Executive Officer of Marketing Edge Limited, Mr John Ajayi, said that Globacom received the award for the Telecom Brand of the Year award for its market leading services to Nigeria in the telecoms sector. The company has in its 20 years of operation been guided by a focus on offering unlimited value to customers across the country.
It also got the award for the TV Commercial of the Year for its commercial, Front Row seat, which projected the power of individuals to attain any goal with the necessary tool of data at their disposal. Apart from the winning advert, Globacom has been well noted for its profound and creative advertising materials over the years.
While speaking at the award ceremony, doyen of the advertising world, Mr Steve Omojafor, described Marketing Edge as the only authentic marketing communications awards that is held in high esteem and recognized all over the world as being from Nigeria.
The event was attended by the big names in the brands and communications industry, as well as corporate and business executives.
Just some weeks ago, Globacom had also received honours at the second annual Consumer Value Awards. The awards, which were decided by online votes by members of the public over several weeks, saw Globacom winning the “Best Value for Money Data & ISP Brand of the Year 2023” and “Best Value for Money Telecommunication Service of the Year 2023” awards.
