In classic English tradition, top-flight teams hurried on transfer deadline day to bolster their rosters.

Manchester City and Liverpool were able to conclude agreements for Matheus Nunes and Ryan Gravenberch, respectively.

Alex Iwobi left Everton for Fulham, and Cole Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City.

Both Sofyan Amrabat and Sergio Reguilon sealed loan moves to Manchester United.
