President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Monday, August 21, 2023, swear-in the newly appointed ministers at the State House Conference Centre, Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja by 10:00am.
This is according to a terse statement issued by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator (Dr) George Akume, on Wednesday night in Abuja.
“Honourable Ministers to be sworn-in are expected to come with two guests each. All Honourable Ministers and invited guests are to be seated by 9:00am,” Akume said in the statement signed by Mr Willie Bassey, a Director of Information in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).
METROWATCHXTRA.COM reports that President Tinubu on Wednesday evening assigned portfolios to his new ministers recently cleared by the National Assembly (Senate).
Some of the ministers include former Governors of Rivers and Ebonyi States, Nyesom Wike and Dave Umahi, who were made Ministers of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Works, respectively; and Barr. Festus Keyamo, appointed Aviation Minister.
