Chelsea’s efforts to sign Victor Osimhen have gained momentum.
Osimhen’s contract negotiations with the Serie A winners have reportedly halted due to a release clause, according to Corriere Dello Sport.
To lock the player into a new deal with the team, Napoli included a massive £173 million release clause.
However, Osimhen wants the release clause to be set at £100 million since he obviously wants to stay at the club.
The conversations have ceased as a result, providing an opportunity for his suitors to pounce.
This summer, Chelsea is looking for a new No. 9, and they have their eye on the 24-year-old.
The Nigerian has caught the attention of Manchester United as well.
