Ahmed Musa, the captain of the Super Eagles, has announced a decrease in the cost of Premium Motor Spirit at his Kano filling station, MYCA7, from N620 to N580 per litre.

The professional footballer made this known on his legitimate Twitter account.

Musa wrote: “Fuel #580 @MYCA -7 Filling Station Kano. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️,” sparking excitement among Nigerians.

One Twitter user, Scala @lakaas123, excitedly enquired “How manage Alhaji? N580 in Kano when not in Lagos? Are you whining us?” to which Musa replied, “That is what me I decide to sell my own 🤷‍♂️.”

A few days prior, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited announced a rise in the price of petrol at the pump to N617 per litre.

According to reports, the football player lowered the price of petrol to help the state’s drivers.

Usman Muhammad, a motorist, said after purchasing petrol, “It’s a welcome development; I can now save some money instead of buying at a higher cost.” Drivers admire his considerate act.

Ahmed Musa is a left winger and forward for the Nigerian national team and Turkish Süper Lig club Sivasspor, respectively. He was born in Nigeria.
