Bamidele Opeyemi, a senator representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District, has been elected Majority Leader in the 10th Senate.
Ali Ndume, a senator from Borno South Senatorial District, was appointed Chief Whip.
Reading a letter from the All Progressives Congress, APC, Akpabio also announced Senator Dave Umahi, APC, Ebonyi South as the Deputy Leader and Senator Lola Ashiru , APC, Kwara South as the Deputy Whip.
Following a discussion behind closed doors with Senate President Godswill Akpabio, they were all publicly seen on Tuesday.
Their emergence followed the recommendation by the ruling All Progressives Congress.
