Electrician Docked for Allegedly Stealing Vehicle Brain Box | METROWATCH

A 29-year-old electrician, Endurance Ajake, on Thursday, appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing the brain box of a bus worth N250,000.
Ajake, who resides in Orile-Agege, Lagos State, is being charged with theft.
The prosecutor, Insp Felicia Okwoli, told the court that the defendant committed the offence at about 3:30a.m on May 26, along Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, Iyana Ipaja, Dopemu Agege, Lagos.
Okwoli said that Ajake, who was an employee of God is Good Motors, stole the brain box of a bus belonging to the transport company.
The prosecutor said that the defendant was caught while attempting to take the brain box away from the company premises.
She said that the offence contravened Section 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
The law prescribes a seven-year jail term for anybody found guilty of stealing from an employer.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Magistrate H. B. Mogaji granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Mogaji adjourned the case until June 26 for mention. (NAN)
