The Ekiti State House of Assembly, on Tuesday, elected a new Speaker and female deputy to lead the state parliament for the new political dispensation.
While Mr Adeoye Aribasoye (Ikole constituency II) was elected Speaker, Mrs Bolaji Egbeyemi Olagbaju (Ado Constituency II), emerged the Deputy Speaker.
Their emergence followed the dissolution of the 6th Assembly and the proclamation of the 7th Parliament for the commencement of legislative duties by Gov. Biodun Oyebanji.
