Bauchi, the Bauchi State capital is agog with activities ahead of the Monday’s inauguration of the Governor-elect, Bala Mohammed and his deputy, Muhammad Auwal-Jatau.

Mohammed was re-elected on March 18, for a second term under the platform of the People’s Democratic Parry (PDP).

A Correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), who went round the Bauchi metropolis reports that security had been beefed up at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi, venue for the inauguration, and other strategic places.

Members of the inauguration committee were seen making last minute arrangements at the venue to facilitate smooth celebrations as hundreds of party supporters, well wishers and dignitaries from within and outside the state were expected to grace the event.

NAN also reports that the venue of the event is wearing new looks while security personnel were patrolling the streets to thwart any attempt to breach the peace.
