A 17-year-old boy, Ade Segun, who planned his kidnap with his friends, Precious and Nonso, to defraud his parents of the sum of N2,000,000 has been arrested in Delta State.

The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Bright Edafe, disclosed this on his Twitter page on Friday.

Edafe went on to say that the suspect’s parents reported the case at the Warri station where one of the female officers pretended to pay the ransom.

He said, “The suspect, Ade Segun, planned his own kidnapped alongside two of his friends, Precious and Nonso, called Ade’s parents, and demanded the sum of #2,000,000.
