A 43-year-old man, Adebayo Adeosun, was, on Thursday, arraigned before a New Karu Upper Area Court, sitting in Nasarawa State, for allegedly extorting a cell phone worth N120,000.

The defendant, a resident of Kuje, FCT, was charged with extortion, an offence he, however, denied committing.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Christian Michael, told the court that the defendant was arrested and brought to the New Nyanya police station on May 5.

He said the defendant claimed that Indagulu was owning him the sum of N80,000.
