Management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has announced virtual matriculation ceremony for newly admitted students of the institution for the 2021/2022 academic session.

METROWATCHXTRA.COM reports that the virtual matriculation ceremony will take place on Friday, 5th May, 2023 at the Akin Deko main auditorium, Ugbowo campus, by 3:00pm.

A statement issued by the University’s Registrar, Mr. Ademola Bobola, said the Institution’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Lilian Salami gave the approval, in accordance with the amended academic calendar.

He said: “The ceremony is a hybrid activity in which only limited number of matriculating students and parents will be physically allowed into the auditorium while others are to follow online elsewhere outside the venue.
