EPL: Iwobi banks on Everton fans for victory against Newcastle United | METROWATCH

Everton star, Alex Iwobi believed playing in front of their teeming fans at Goodison Park will give the team extra motivation when they face Newcastle United on Thursday.

The Toffees need to win the game to increase their chances of staying in the Premier League. They are currently just outside the relegation zone.

Last Saturday at Selhurst Park, Sean Dyche’s team held Crystal Palace to a scoreless draw.

Newcastle United on the other hand completely pulverized Tottenham Hotspur 6-1 the following day.

“It’s another game at home with the fans behind us,” Iwobi told Everton’s official website

“That should lift and motivate us. Newcastle are coming off the back of a good win, but we’ve got the motivation and a couple of players coming back. Doucs and Dom are back.”
