Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday presided over the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the council’s chambers, in the presidential villa, Abuja.
Osinbajo presided over the meeting as
President Muhammadu Buhari is away on a eight-day official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he also performed the Umrah (Lesser Hajj).
Those attending the meeting include the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige; the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; Chief of Staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, and Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan.
Others are the Ministers of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola; Science and Technology, Olorunimbe Mamora; Finance, Zainab Ahmed; Agriculture, Mohammed Abubakar; Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire; Information, Lai Mohammed and Sports, Sunday Dare.
Today’s FEC meeting is the second consecutive meeting presided over by Osinbajo. METROWATCHXTRA.COM reports that the Vice President presided over last Wednesday’s meeting following Buhari’s departure for Saudi Arabia a day earlier.
Meanwhile, President Buhari is expected back to the country later today after spending eight days in Saudi Arabia, his last trip to the Kingdom as Nigerian leader.
