President of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nasiru Idris, has been declared the winner of the 2023 governorship election in Kebbi State.
Idris defeated Maj-Gen. Aminu Bande (rtd.) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to win the supplementary election held yesterday April 15, 2023 in the state.
He polled 409,225 votes to defeat PDP’s Bande, who came second with 360,940 votes.
