In barely six hours after its debut on Boomplay on Friday, the much-anticipated album “Timeless” by Afrobeat singer Davido had gathered one million listens.
The album is presently at No. 1 on Apple Music‘s Top Albums Chart in 17 additional countries in addition to Nigeria and the UK.
Early on Friday morning, Davido posted a message on his social media accounts announcing the arrival of the 17-track album.
He talked about the process he went through from his previous album to the latest and also gave Chioma Rowland, his wife, a shout-out while appreciating his fans and people who ensured the completion of the project.
“At long last – WE are back. The journey from my last album to this album has been a whirlwind to say the least,” Davido wrote on Twitter.
Singles from the ‘Timeless’ album also topped Sierra Leone’s Apple Music Songs Chart, from number 1 to 17.
