Bayo Onanuga, spokesman for the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, has warned Igbo residents in Lagos State to steer clear of the state’s politics henceforth.

Onanuga’s warning comes following the ethnic controversies that enveloped the governorship election where the Igbos had supported Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party (LP) in the election.

It also comes as results from the Saturday’s poll trickles in with the incumbent Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of All Progressives Congress in early lead.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Onanuga wrote, “Let 2023 be the last time of Igbo interference in Lagos politics.

“Let there be no repeat in 2027.

“Lagos is like Anambra, Imo, any Nigerian state. It is not No Man’s Land, not Federal Capital Territory. It is Yoruba land. Mind your business.”
