Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Marcus Onobun, has won a seat at the House of Representatives to represent the people of Esan West/Esan Central and Igueben federal constituency.
Onobun, who contested the poll in the rescheduled national assembly election held on Saturday March 18 for the constituency, ran under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He polled a total of 17,611 votes to defeat his closest rival, Patrick Idiake of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who came second with 16,509 total votes.
