With reports of violence rampant in various areas in Enugu state, the Labour Party and Chijioke Edeoga campaign office have warned INEC staff and electoral returning officers against announcing results not originating from polling unit.

There have been reports of ballot box snatching and kidnapping in the Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu state, the home local Government of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

In the Umuosegide area of Obollo, the home of Obinna IJERE, the Labour Party House of Assembly candidate, at least 10 ballot boxes were snatched.

The ballot box-snatching gang carrying a Hummer Jeep has been driving around unhindered and even kidnapped a ward Chairman of the Labour Party in the Ibenda area of Obollo Eke.

These election-rigging hoodlums who are enjoying the backing of the ruling PDP also went to Orba and Ezimo towns, the home of the PDP duty Governor candidate, and went away with a series of ballot boxes.
