President Muhammadu Buhari has been advised to suspend Godwin Emefiele as governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The advice was made by Bola Tinubu’s director of media and publicity, Bayo Onanuga, at the APC PCC over the ongoing naira shortage
After abandoning the cashless strategy, Onanuga claimed Emefiele had no business holding the position of governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
In a tweet, Onanuga said: “I am surprised Godwin Emefiele is still sitting pretty in office, without contrition, after he was forced to scrap his ghastly cashless policy.
“President Buhari should suspend him from office. Emefiele should go NOW.”
