The Arewa community in Oyo State has affirmed that financial considerations had no impact on their choice to back Governor Seyi Makinde.

According to reports, the Arewa community serves as the state’s representative organization for the Hausa ethnic group.

The community stated that because of all the governor has done for them, they have opted to support his bid for a second term.

It was learnt that some individuals had earlier claimed that they rejected money given to them by the governor to support him (Makinde) for another term.

The community has however said that it did not collect a dime before taking the decision to support the governor.
