Christophe Galtier, manager of Paris Saint-Germain, has revealed why Bayern Munich eliminated his club from the Champions League on Wednesday.
On Wednesday night in Germany, Galtier watched as Bayern Munich trounced his club 2-0 in the Champions League round of the 16-second leg.
Bayern progressed to the Champions League quarter-finals with a 3-0 aggregate win after defeating Paris 1-0 in the first leg.
Speaking to Canal+ after the match, Galtier said that many important absentees and the change of two central defenders cost PSG’s defeat to Bayern.
He noted that Bayern was also dominant in the Champions League first leg against PSG.
“The availability of the workforce, we have many important absentees in the first and second leg.
“We had to change two central defenders before the break. This obviously cost us a lot.
“Bayern were dominant in the first leg, but we showed a completely different face tonight. It’s not enough, of course,” Galtier said.
