Elections: Obi leads in Plateau, wins 6 of 8 LGAs, Atiku 2, Tinubu zero

Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the Saturday’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has won in six of the eight local government areas of Plateau State so far declared.

In the results so far announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar, won in the other two.

According to INEC, Obi won in Langtang North, Barikin Ladi, Riyom, Jos East, Mangu and Bokkos LGAs; while his PDP rival, Atiku Abubakar won in Langtang South and Mikang LGAs of the state.

Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congres (APC) has yet to be declared the winner in any local government areas.

Plateau state has 17 local government areas.
