Prof Wole Soyinka, a Nobel laureate, has denied backing All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential contender Bola Tinubu.
Soyinka denied a social media comment tying him to Tinubu’s endorsement.
According to a statement provided by his media office, Nigerians should reject claims that Soyinka sent a message disparaging political parties and leaders.
“Soyinka did NOT at any time or on any occasion issue such a statement.
“It is simply the work of peddlers of fake news and falsehood, who profit from misinformation to gain political advantages,” the statement reads.
