Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, met with Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike on Wednesday ahead of his campaign rally.
Along with members of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, Tinubu met with Wike at Government House in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
There are rumors that Wike has sided with Tinubu with just two weeks to the presidential election.
Wike is believed to have instructed all of his cabinet officials, advisers, and local government chairmen in the state to back Tinubu even though he has not publicly endorsed the APC flagbearer.
After the Peoples Democratic Party’s primary election in 2022, Wike, a PDP member, has declined to back Atiku Abubakar for president.
