Former Nigerian lawmaker Ben Murray-Bruce has questioned the rationale behind the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors’ recent visit to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Murray-Bruce questioned why the APC governors went to Buhari over the naira redesign, pointing out that they couldn’t go because the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, was on strike.

On Saturday, he shared his remark via his verified Twitter profile.

The former lawmaker said he supported Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, insisting he was on track.

He wrote: “But why are the APC Governors visiting Buhari over the naira redesign? How many times did they visit Buhari when they refused to pay salaries of civil servants? When 3 million students were at home over ASUU strike, they did not visit. Emefiele is on track. I support him!”
