Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum has warned stalwarts of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to abstain from all forms of violence against the opposition in the state.
He gave the warning during the inauguration of the campaign council of his party, APC, for the fourth coming General elections for new political positions.
The Governor noted that Borno was an APC majority state adding that there was no need for anyone to fight for the party to win the general elections.
Zulum called on members of the various committees to take their responsibilities very seriously because the new reward system by way of appointments will be based on their individual contributions to the party.
Zulum who inaugurated the APC Campaign Council in the state for the forthcoming 2023 general elections noted that the party leadership will surely improve on the reward system to loyalists.
Party chairman Ali Dalori in his remarks paid special tribute to Zulum for being a development governor who has turned around the ruins of Borno State around.
Dalori called on members to remain loyal at all times to the party hierarchy so that they can in one accord win the elections hands down.
The Main Campaign Council made up of 100 members is to be Chaired by the state party leader Governor Babagana Zulum, while the Borno Central Senatorial Candidate of the APC, Barrister Kaka Shehu Lawan will serve as Secretary.
A 22-man sub-committee comprising of 814 members will be chaired by respective stalwarts and Party stakeholders for the smooth flow of the anticipated election.
