The Federal High Court, Abuja, has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to accept and publish the name of Godswill Akpabio as candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Akwa Ibom North-West senatorial zone in next year’s election.
According to reports, Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court, Abuja gave the order in a ruling on Thursday.
Delivering Judgement, Justice Nwite held that INEC acted illegally for refusing to accept and publish Akpabio’s name even when it was sent to it by the APC as its candidate.
