Governor Okowa Salutes Prof Oyovbaire at 81

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta and Vice-Presidential Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has congratulated former Minister of Information, Professor Sam Oyovbaire, on his 81st birth anniversary.

Oyovbaire, who chairs the Delta State Advisory Council and the Governing Council of Delta State University, Abraka, is a renowned academic and astute politician.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Olisa Ifeajika, in Asaba, Okowa commended the renowned Professor of Political Science for his contributions to nation-building, particularly his steadfast commitment to the attainment of Stronger Delta vision of his administration.

He commended Oyovbaire, a member of the Board of Trustees of the PDP, for his significant roles in the rejuvenation of the party in the country.

He also expressed appreciation to the emeritus professor for the remarkable support of the state’s advisory council headed by him, to his administration.

“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta, I wish to congratulate our father and leader of inestimable value, Prof. (Chief) Sam Ejite Oyovbaire, on the occasion of his 81st birth anniversary.

“Your life has been marked with outstanding patriotism and distinguished service to humanity and nation-building.

“It is, therefore, my pleasure to join your family, friends and well-wishers in thanking Almighty God for His continued guidance, protection and provision for you in the past 81 years,” he stated.
