Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, will, today, meet with Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, in Abuja.
According to reports, the duo are meeting over lunch at the home of former Minister of Information, Prof Jerry Gana.
metrowatchxtra understands that the meeting is part of efforts by the party to reconcile the duo following the crisis rocking the PDP over the selection of a vice presidential candidate.
Wike has been irked that governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, was chosen as running mate instead of him.
The Rivers governor’s loyalists had reportedly listed a visit to Wike by Atiku himself, sack of the party’s National Chairman and single term for Atiku as part of conditions to mend fences.
