President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mr Abdullahi Bala as the new Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund.
Bala, according to a statement on Wednesday, takes over from Mr Ahmed Aliyu who resigned his appointment to contest governorship primary election in his state.
Born on 18th August, 1967 in Sokoto North Local Government Area, the new Secretary holds a Masters Degree in Political Science from the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto state.
Bala’s career began in December 1992, when he became Personal Officer II, Admin and Political Affairs Department, Cabinet Office, Sokoto.
In May, 2009, he was appointed as Permanent Secretary in Sokoto State Civil Service.
He served as Secretary, State Government Committee on Audit Inspection Report; Secretary, State Government Policy Council of Emergency on Education; Chairman Health Financing Technical Group.
Bala also worked as Permanent Secretary in Ministries, Departments and Agencies, including Ministries of Finance, Health and Education.
