A statement endorsed by the State Commissioner for Information, Ibrahim Magaji Dosara, on Saturday, said the work-free day starts from Monday 20th to Friday 24th June, 2022.
Dosara said the opportunity would allow the state’s public and civil servants to be able to fulfil their civic rights in the 2023 general elections.
The statement directed all Commissioners, Special Advisers, Permanent Secretaries, other public office holders, party officials and traditional rulers to monitor and supervise the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
It noted that every citizen above the age of 18 is expected to be part of the exercise, saying that it was their constitutional right to elect their leaders.
