South West Presidential Aspirants

•VP Yemi Osinbajo (l), Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila (m) and Bola Tinubu (r).

All Progressives Congress’ national leader, Bola Tinubu is taking an early lead as organisers sort the ballots from the ongoing presidential primary election of the ruling party at the Eagle Square, Abuja.

This is even as Vice President Yemi Osinbajo left the venue, early Wednesday morning, as it became increasingly clear that his dream of succeeding his boss as Nigeria’s next president may have come to naught.

From the results announced so far, from few ballot boxes, the former Lagos governor (Tinubu) leads, with former Transportation Minister, Rotimi Amaechi maintaining distant second and Osinbajo trailing the ex-Rivers governor closely.
