Governor Godwin Obaseki appears to have lost full grip of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) structure in Edo state to his arch rival Chief Dan Orbih.

Orbih is the party’s Vice Chairman (South South).

Only candidates loyal to Orbih made the list of authentic candidates of the party for the 2023 senatorial elections.

The list was released by the PDP National Working Committee, NWC, on Friday.

From the list, loyalists of Dan Orbih made the final list of candidates for the election.

This came barely days after the PDP presidential election where Orbih’s faction of the Edo delegates were allowed to participate as against Obaseki’s delegates, in line with an existing court order.
