The suspended Catholic priest in Benue state, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has reportedly won the 2023 governorship primary of the All Progressive Congress in Benue state.
According to reports, Rev. Fr. Alia was elected with 456 delegates votes, defeating two other contestants to emerge the APC flag bearer in the next year’s election.
Reports say the exercise was relatively peaceful and devoid of rancour.
