Mr Buki Ponle, the Managing Director (MD) of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), has blamed saboteurs for the current challenges bedeveling the country.

Ponle said this in Akure during a meeting with the staff of the agency on fact-finding reporting.

He explained that President Muhammadu Buhari has good intention for the country but the president’s efforts were being thwarted by saboteurs that were waging war on the country.

The MD advised the agency’s staff not to be involved in “pull-down syndrome.”

According to him, every report must be fair, factual and responses of parties involved must be considered.

Ponle said that efforts were on to revamp the agency especially in reportage, while staff welfare was a priority to the leadership.

He said that there was reward for every hard work, urging the staff to be diligent and committed to their assigned duties.

Also speaking, Mr Silas Nwoha, the Editor-in-Chief of NAN, said that members of staff of the agency must contribute their quota for the agency’s aims to be accomplished.

Nwoha enjoined all staff to work together as a team in moving the agency forward.

Speaking on behalf of the staff, Mr Mufutau Adediran, the state Correspondent, appreciated the MD for the visit.
