David Umahi, the Governor of Ebonyi State, has tendered an unreserved apology to the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) over the uncomplimentary statement made against a judge of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, Justice Inyang Ekwo
This comes hours after NBA described Umahi’s comment as a national embarrassment.
Recall the Dave Umahi, on Tuesday, described his removal from office by Justice Inyang Ekwo as “a hatchet” man’s job.
Daily Post reports that Umahi apologised while addressing over two thousand members of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, in Ebonyi State at a solidarity rally that took place at the Udensi roundabout.
He also noted that he has mobilized over seventeen (17) SANs to Appeal the judgement of the Federal High court sitting in Abuja led by justice Inyang Ekwo, wherein he was sacked for defecting from the opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the APC.
