The Nigeria Police Force has summoned the officer who was seen in a viral video carrying a plate of food for the former Nigeria’s ambassador to the Republic of Netherlands, Dr Nimota Nihinlola Akanbi.
Recall that the former envoy debunked the reports, stating that the food was for the officer who carrying his own food at a community engagement in Ilorin, Kwara State.
However, the Acting Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, has stated the office who has been identified will be questioned in Abuja as such an act is a disgrace to the Police Force.
Adejobi said, “He has been identified. He is coming to Abuja to meet us. We’ll ask question from him and take necessary action.
“We need to discourage such a thing because it is embarrassing the image of the Force and we can’t continue to be experiencing that kind of a thing because it is highly unprofessional!”
He warned police operatives to stop running errands or performing jobs that is not related to their duty of protecting prominent individuals from security threats.
