Tension as Fire Ravages Residential Building Housing Missionaries on Ibadan

Several properties worth millions of naira were destroyed by a fire that gutted a residential facility for missionaries in Ibadan.

The incident occurred at Aribisala street, UMC Church, Oke-Ado in Ibadan.

The incident, according to sources, occurred in the early hours of Saturday.

According to Daily Post, it was gathered that the upper floor of the residential building for the missionaries was affected.

Chairman, Oyo State Fire Service, Maroof Akinwande confirmed the incident.

He said that no life was lost in the incident. “Upon arrival, it was the upper floor of a residential building of missionary engulfed by fire.

“Our officers quickly swung into action and curtailed the fire from spreading to the ground floor of the building.

“No casualty was recorded and the fire incident was as a result of lighted candles unattended to ignited nearby combustibles and set the building ablaze,” he explained.
