Actress Doyin Kukoyi has responded to reports suggesting she is in a marital relationship with fellow actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.

The actress, in an interview on Seun Oloketuyi’s YouTube page, explained that the speculation came from a photograph taken at a movie location where both of them acted as husband and wife.

She said that after sharing the photo on her social media page, many people assumed it reflected her real life, and the story has continued to spread since then.

She said: “I was at a movie location with Ogogo, we both played the movie roles of husband and wife where our daughter got married.

“The two of us took a picture, and I shared the picture on my social media page, and some people took out the picture and started saying that we were married. Till today, a lot of people still believe that I’m married to Ogogo.

“I took the picture with Ogogo because I loved him.”

Doyin also spoke about her career, saying she has been in Nollywood for over thirty years, with her first media experience starting at Daar Communications.

Talks about a romantic bond between her and Ogogo began in 2022 after she shared pictures with him online and playfully referred to him as her husband.
