The Super Falcons of Nigeria have landed in Casablanca, Morocco, to begin the final stage of their preparations for the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

A delegation of 22 players and team officials made the journey from Lisbon, Portugal, where the team had been in camp.

Bay FC striker Asisat Oshoala and China-based forward Folashade Ijamilusi joined the squad in Casablanca on Tuesday.

Justine Madugu’s side recently held Portugal to a goalless draw in a friendly match played in Lisbon on Monday night. As part of their build-up to the tournament, the nine-time African champions will face arch-rivals, the Black Queens of Ghana, in another high-profile friendly on Sunday.

The Super Falcons will kick off their WAFCON 2026 campaign on Sunday, July 6, against Tunisia at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca. They will then face Botswana and Algeria in their remaining group-stage fixtures.
