“This elevation is not just a personal achievement for you, but a victory for competent leadership, integrity, and party discipline. Your consistent contributions and organizational strength have not gone unnoticed. The party has spoken clearly — reward for good work is more work,” he added.
“On behalf of my family and Office of the Special Adviser on Development Partners, I extend our full support to you in this new role,” the Special Adviser said. “We are confident that your leadership will strengthen internal cohesion, deepen grassroots engagement, and guide our party into greater victories, especially as we begin preparations for the 2027 general elections.”

The appointment of Hon. Sylvester Aigboboh follows a recent announcement by the Edo State Chapter of the APC, confirming his emergence as Acting Deputy State Chairman and that of Mr. Pedro Esangbedo as Acting Vice Chairman for Edo Central Senatorial District.
According to a statement signed by the APC State Chairman and Secretary, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe and Lawrence Okah, respectively, on Sunday, in Benin City, the appointments take immediate effect.
“In accordance with the provisions of the APC constitution and for the continued efficiency of the party’s operations, it became imperative to fill these positions with individuals of proven character and integrity,” the party noted in the official statement.
Hon. Aigboboh and Mr. Esangbedo will serve in an acting capacity pending the conduct of the party’s next State Congress and are expected to work closely with the State Chairman, Emperor Jaret Tenebe, to provide strong leadership in the buildup to the 2027 elections.
